1] We are not inclined to initiate any proceedings in the Public Interest Litigation commenced by a society, having object to further the interest of traders. The reason is that the Petitioners want a policy to be framed to compensate loss of revenue to the trading community as and when Bandhs are called, forcing shops to remain close.

2] The judgments on the subject give adequate remedy to the Petitioners to seek damages against those who call Bandhs. The State BGP. 1 of 2

cannot be directed to form a policy to re-compensate traders. The traders have to take resort to legal action against those who call for the Bandh and against them seeks damages.
