This Civil Application is taken out by the petitioner for extension of time to comply with the order dated 9th January, 2006. By that order, the petitioner was granted interim relief on condition that it deposits backwages to the extent of 25%. The Civil Application is taken out on 14th November, 2004. Considering the inordinate delay in compliance of the order, Mr. Kulkarni, the learned Advocate for the respondent requests that, the respondent would be entitled to reasonable interest on the amount of 25% of the backwages. In the facts of the case, the Civil Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a), on condition that the petitioner deposits interest at the rate of 6% p.a. on the amount of 25% of the backwages from the date of the order till payment.
