1) This is an application for pre-arrest bail filed under the provisions of Section 438 of the Criminal Procedure Code in connection with MECR No.1/2019 registered with Airport Police Station, Mumbai for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 464, 465, 467, 468, 471, 474, 477, 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
2) By Order dated 4 January 2022, this Court granted interim protected to the Applicant by directing him to remain present before the concerned Police Station and co-operate with the investigations. ___Page No.

Neeta Sawant 6-ABA-3183-2021.docx The learned counsel appearing for the Applicant would submit that accordingly the Applicant has presented himself in the Police Station from time to time and has fully cooperated with the investigations. On 28 March 2024, the learned counsel appearing for the Applicant had submitted that investigations into the crime are complete and that the chargesheet has already been filed.
3) The learned APP sought time on 6 March 2024 and 28 March 2024 to take instructions. However, even today, the learned APP is without any instructions about current status of the case. The Anticipatory Bail Application has been specially assigned to this Court and cannot be kept pending indefinitely.
4) The learned counsel appearing for the Applicant has invited my attention to the chargesheet filed with the Metropolitan Magistrate, 66 th Court, Andheri which includes the name of the Applicant. The Applicant is under interim protection granted by this Court on 4 January 2022. The investigations into the crime are already complete and chargesheet has been filed on 15 September 2022. In that view of the matter, the interim protection granted in favour of the Applicant deserves to be made absolute. Accordingly, the Anticipatory Bail Application filed by the Applicant is allowed by making the interim protection granted to him on 4 January 2022 absolute.
