The petitioner has approached this Court for quashing the F.I.R. bearing C.R. No.23 of 2006 registered with Pandharpur Taluka Police Station and subsequent Charge-sheet No. 229 of 2009 before the learned JMFC, Pandharpur.

In our view, the petitioner has an alternate efficacious remedy to apply for discharge before the trial Court. We are, therefore, not inclined to exercise our extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Uday S. Jagtap

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Needless to mention that the petitioner is at liberty to file discharge application before the trial Court.
