Heard. By consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGP for the State, taken up for admission. 2.
The petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 30th May, 2016, copy of which is annexed at page no.33 (Exhibit-'D') of the petition. Mr. P.G. Sawant, learned AGP submits that the said representation can be directed to be decided by the Respondent No.2 - The District Rehabilitation Officer, Kolhapur.

In the light of the above, we deem it convenient to dispose of this petition by directing the Respondent No.2 - The District Rehabilitation Officer, Kolhapur to decide petitioner's representation dated 30th May,
P.H.Jayani 30 WPST 31129.16.doc 2016 as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Order accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the petitioner's claim and petitioner's representation shall be decided independently and in accordance with the law after hearing the petitioner and other concerned officer and this order should not be construed as an expression of opinion on merits. 5.
In order to enable the Respondent No.2 to comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before the Respondent No.2 - The District Rehabilitation Officer, Kolhapur on 27th March, 2018 alongwith the copy of the said representation and copy of this order.
