Rule.

By consent of the parties, Rule is made returnable forthwith. By this petition, the Petitioner seeks direction against the Respondent to decide their Application dated 31.03.2016 (Exhibit-A, page 9 to the petition) as early as possible, for allotment of a plot of land as per the Maharashtra Resettlement of Project Affected Persons Act, 1986.

The learned AGP, after taking instructions from the concerned officer Mr. Sunil Sherkhande, Tehsildar and DRO, makes a statement that they are ready and willing to decide the Petitioner's Application dated 31.03.2016 within eight weeks from today. The statement is accepted.

a.

The Respondent State is directed to decide the Petitioner's Application dated 31.03.2016 (Exhibit-A, page 9 to the petition) as early as possible within eight weeks from today on its own merits.

It is made clear that this court has not considered the petition on merits.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. d.

No order as to costs.
