Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks an adjournment to obtain instructions from the Petitioner to withdraw the Writ Petition.

It would be useless to adjourn the hearing of the Petition for the reason challenge is to a notice inviting tender dated 07.08.2017 inviting applications from eligible persons to excavate sand from the riverbeds.

The grievance in the Petition is to the eligibility conditions prescribed as also preference to Co-operative Societies. 4.

The tendering process is over. As per the notice inviting tender, the duration of the license to the highest bidder was for the ensuing year.
