The learned APP states that if facts mentioned in letter are correct, respondents can within reasonable time consider request for shifting prisoner.

The petitioner prisoner seeks his transfer from Nashik Road Central Prison to Yerwada Central Prison as his relatives are staying in nearby village in Raigad District. As such keeping all contentions open and if the said request application is still pending, we direct the competent authority to take appropriate decision upon it in accordance with law within two months from the date of communication of this order. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
