The present Application is filed by the Applicant, who has been arrested on 15th October 2019, for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (I.P.C.), registered with Nalasopara Police Station, Palghar on 14th October 2019, in Sessions Case No. 26 of 2020, and it is now pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge- 1 Vasai, District- Palghar. 2.

Considering the charge under Section 302 of the I.P.C. and the offence has taken place in the premises of the police station itself, this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer as made in the present R.V.Patil 1/2

12 BA.3356.2022.doc Application. The learned Counsel for the Applicant does not press for the prayer made in the present Application. However, considering that the charge-sheet is filed on 9th January 2020, it would be appropriate to direct the learned Additional Sessions Judge- 1 Vasai, District- Palghar to expedite the trial and complete it within a period of one year from today.
