The Petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to admit the Petitioner for the Five Year LLB Course by exempting the requirements of passing of the Central Entrance Test (C.E.T.).

The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that there are so many vacancies in Respondent No.4 College and when the Respondent no.4 is willing to admit the Petitioner, there will be no need of issuance of any direction.

jdk 8.cwp.11840.18.doc Principal of Respondent no.4 College is personally present in Court and he has filed afÏdavit stating therein that there are 48 vacancies available in the Respondent No.4 - College.

As per the Rules framed by the State Government, passing of Central Entrance Test (C.E.T.) is mandatory for being admitted to the LL.B. Course. If the relief as sought is granted, it would be nothing but to issue writ to the authorities to act in contravention of the Rules framed by the State. Such a relief cannot be granted in a writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Petition is therefore, rejected.
