The petitioner claims that his father was working as a security guard with respondent Nos. 1 and 2. He died in harness on 23rd November, 2015. After his death the petitioner had applied vide application dated 15th December, 2015 (Exhibit A) for appointing him on compassionate basis. 2.

The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of more than two years the said application has not been considered and decided.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner as also by the learned Counsel for the respondents, we dispose of this petition by directing the competent authority of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation to consider and decide the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment (Exhibit A) in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, but in any case not later than three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.

We make it clear that we have not expressed our opinion about merits of the matter and petitioner's entitlement. 5.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.

Parties to act on basis of authenticated copy of this order.
