This is an Application under Section 439 of Cr. P.C. for bail in CR No. 181 of 2015 registered with Chandannagar Police Station, Pune under Sections 420, 406, 408, 409, 467, 468, 471 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is the prosecution case that accused No.1 Umesh Maid, the official valuer of Mahanagar Co-operative Bank in connivance with all other accused persons gave Valuation Report of bogus/duplicate ornaments and thereby facilitated accused persons to avail loans. The Applicant is one of such borrowers. The record indicates that all the accused persons except the Applicant have been released on bail either by the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class or by the Sessions Court,

BA 2542-17.doc Pune. The record indicates that the role played by the Applicant is similar to that of accused Nos. 3 to 29 mentioned in the charge-sheet. That the Applicant is entitled to be released on bail on the ground of parity.

Hence, the following Order:

(i) The Applicant be released on bail in CR No. 181 of 2015 registered with Chandannagar Police Station, Pune on his furnishing PR bond of Rs. 25,000/- with one or two solvent local sureties in the like amount;

(ii) Applicant shall not tamper with the evidence and/or influence the prosecution witnesses.
