This petition for quashing the FIR was filed on the basis of the settlement between the parties. The learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions states that the settlement ultimately did not take place. He, therefore, seeks permission to withdraw this petition with liberty to prefer appropriate proceedings for quashing the FIR. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed.

All contentions on merits are kept open.
