By an order dated 22nd August, 2013 passed by Division Bench (Coram: V.M. Kanade, J and K.R. Shriram, J) Collector, District Raigad was directed to decide application as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of six weeks from the receipt of the order. 2.

It is submitted that on 28th August, 2013 the Collector received the said order. The petitioner claims to have issued a private notice to Collector of the contempt proceedings on 31st August, 2013. The Collector ought to have complied with the order passed by this Court somewhere in the mid of October 2013. The Contempt Petition was filed

2/3 on 22nd November, 2013.

The respondent filed affidavit of Mr.Sheshnath Damodar Patil, District Project Officer. The deponent gave explanation in paragraph-4 of the affidavit. We have perused the same. Learned AGP submits that inadvertently the order could not be complied with. The deponent has submitted unconditional apology to the Court. 4.

We have perused the record and reply filed. In view of the explanation given, no interference is warranted. Writ Petition is disposed of.
