1. This petition was heard yesterday. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is confining the prayer in this petition to the refund of the amount paid by the petitioner. Today, an affidavit has been filed by Shri Rajendra Kshirsagar, Deputy Secretary, Revenue and Forests Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai. In paragraph 3 of the affidavit, it is stated that the representation made by the petitioner for refund will be decided within a period of three months. We accept the said statement.

2. Accordingly, we dispose of the petition by passing the following order:-

p.6-wp-13778.16.doc (i) We direct the State Government to decide the representation made by the petitioner for refund of the amount as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three months from today; (ii) The order passed on the application be communicated to the petitioner;
