Having heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned AGP for the Respondent-State, we are of the opinion that this petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing Respondent No. 2 to decide the Petitioner's caste claim [which is pending since 19th December 2016], as expeditiously as possible and preferably within the period of three months from today. Ordered accordingly.

For the period of four months from today, services of the Petitioner with Respondent No. 3 shall not be terminated on the ground that he has not submitted the caste validity certificate.

In order to enable Respondent No. 2 to comply with patilsr 1 / 2

this order, the Petitioner shall remain present before Respondent No.2 on 18th November 2019 at 11.00 a.m. with a copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into merits of the matter and all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open.
