Learned APP on instructions from I/c. Superintendent, Kolahapur Central Prison, Kalamba submitted that, the Petitioner's name has been re-entered in the Remission Register in pursuance of meeting dated 8th February, 2023 conducted under the Chairmanship of Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, South Region, Mumbai. In view thereof, the grievance of Petitioner of removing his name permanently from the Remission Register does not survive. 2.

As far as, request of Petitioner for sending him to open prison is concerned, Respondent No.1 is directed to consider his request as per provisions of law and communicate its decision to the Petitioner within a period of four months from today.

Petition is disposed off in aforesaid terms.
