Mr. Shinde, learned counsel for the respondent No.2, having taken instructions from his client, made a statement that the petitioner's claim for rental compensation would be decided within a period of six months from today. He submitted that the petitioner's claim regarding interest would be decided in accordance with law. The statement is accepted.

In the light of the above statement, Mr. Agrawal, learned counsel for the petitioner, fairly conceded that the grievance raised in the petition no more survived. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
