The petition is filed seeking direction to the Respondents to register an FIR on the basis of the Petitioner's complaint dated 28th April 2015. The learned APP, on instructions, makes a statement that in pursuance of the said complaint of the Petitioner, on 1st August 2017, Santacruz Police Station has registered an FIR bearing CR. No. 381 of 2017 for the offence punishable under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. In support of her statement, she placed on record copy of the FIR.

In the light of above, the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that her grievance raised in the writ petition no more survives.

In the circumstances, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Santacruz Police Station to expedite the investigation of the above mentioned FIR.
