Heard both sides. This is an application for expediting the hearing of Criminal Appeal No.286 of 2015. At present, we are hearing appeals of the year 2011. Hence, we are not inclined to expedite the hearing of Criminal Appeal No.286 of 2015. avk 1/2

7-APPA-1424-2016.doc The second prayer of the applicant is for reduction of sentence. The applicant has been mainly convicted under Section 302 of the IPC. It would not be possible to consider the prayer for reduction of sentence in a case under Section 302 of the IPC, where the applicant has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
