This is an application by original accused no.3 for reducing the amount of surety from Rs.25,000/- to Rs.15,000/- or avk 1/2
9-APPA-1531-2017.doc in the alternative, permit the applicant/accused no.4 to deposit cash security in the sum of Rs.25,000/- in lieu of furnishing surety. The learned advocate for the applicant/accused has rightly relied on order dated 30th October 2017 passed in Criminal Application No.1107 of 2017 whereby similar relief has been granted to the co-accused i.e. accused no.3 R. Sitaraman s/o. K. Ramasubramaniam by this court (Coram : Sandeep K. Shinde, J.). In this view of the matter and in the light of averment made in the application, the order dated 14th June 2017 stands modified and the applicant/accused is permitted to give one surety in sum of Rs.15,000/- instead of sureties in the sum of Rs.25,000/-.
The application is accordingly disposed of.
