By this application, the applicant seeks further time of four weeks to deposit the amount of Rs. 18,000/- in the Registry of this Court. 2.

Vide order dated 7th September, 2016, the applicant was permitted to deposit Rs. 23,000/- in the trial Court within three weeks. As the applicant was ready to deposit the compensation amount, the conviction warrant was stayed. It appears that the applicant filed an application being Criminal Application No. 583 of 2016 seeking extension of time to deposit 1/3

the compensation amount. It was prayed that due to financial crunch, the applicant was unable to deposit the amount of Rs. 23,000/- within the stipulated period and prayed that the applicant be permitted to deposit Rs. 5,000/- in one week and the balance amount of Rs. 18,000/- within two weeks. This Court vide order dated 18th October, 2016, was pleased to allow the application and accordingly directed the applicant to deposit Rs. 5,000/- within one week in the trial Court and balance amount of Rs. 18,000/- within four weeks from the date of the order. 3.

Learned Counsel for the applicant sates that the applicant has deposited Rs. 5,000/- in the trial Court, as directed, within one week, however, due to demonetization, the applicant was unable to deposit the balance Rs. 18,000/- within the stipulated period. He submits that a further time of four weeks be granted to deposit the said amount of Rs. 18,000/-. 4.

Considering the aforesaid, application is allowed. The applicant is permitted to deposit the said amount of Rs. 18,000/- in the trial Court, within four weeks from today.

Application is disposed of accordingly.
