The petition is filed seeking direction to forthwith provide police protection to the Petitioner, her husband and family. 2.

Mr. Saste, learned APP on instructions from the officers concerned, states that if the Petitioner makes an application to the Protection Branch of Mumbai Police [situated in the office of Commissioner of Police, Mumbai], the concerned officer will assess the threat perception to the life of the Petitioner, her husband and family members and will take an appropriate decision as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within two days of making application. Statement accepted.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner makes a statement that the Petitioner and her husband will today itself visit the patilsr 1 / 2

Protection Branch of Mumbai police with an application for police protection. Statement accepted.
