Perused the affidavits of the first and the second contemnors. The said affidavits contain a statement that status-quo ante as it existed on 13 October 2010 has been restored. 2.

The learned APP has produced for perusal of the court, a report dated 17 May 2016 submitted by the Deputy Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur. The report records that the statement made across the bar which is recorded on 13 April 2016 regarding restoration status-quo ante is correct. In their affidavits, both the first and the second contemnors has tendered an unconditional apology.

In view of restoration of the status-quo ante it can be said that contempt has been substantially purged. Therefore,

rsk 2 SMCP-10-14.doc unconditional apology tendered by both the contemnors deserves to be accepted. Accordingly, we accept the unconditional apology and dispose of the contempt petition by discharging the contempt notice.
