By this Application, the Applicant seeks his release on bail.

The Applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 3(1)(X) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and has been sentenced to suffer R.I. for six months and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to suffer

further R.I. for three months. The Applicant has also been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 341 of the Indian Penal Code and has been sentenced to pay fine of Rs.500/-, in default to suffer S.I. for one month. The Applicant has, however, been acquitted of the offence punishable under Section 7(1)(d) of the Protection of Civil Rights Act.

Learned counsel for the Applicant states that the Applicant was on bail during trial and has neither abused the condition of bail nor has he abused the liberty granted to him. He further submits that after his conviction, the Applicant's sentence was suspended and that he is presently on bail. The Appeal has been admitted by a separate order today and is not likely to come up for hearing in the immediate near future.

Considering the aforesaid, the Application is allowed and the Applicant is enlarged on bail on the following terms & conditions:-

O R D E R

(i) The applicant be enlarged on bail, on executing PR Bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount;

(ii) The applicant shall inform his latest place of residence and telephone/mobile contact number immediately after being released and/or change of residence or mobile details, if any, from time to time to concerned Police Station. 5.

Accordingly, the Application is disposed of.
