Through this PIL, petitioners are seeking enquiry/investigation by an independent authority in regard to the alleged irregularity/illegality in regard to the Girivan project and to direct investigation in that regard. The grievance of the petitioners is that inspite of making representation to that effect before the Collector, Pune on 21/02/2011 till date, the Collector Pune has not taken any steps in regard to the alleged unauthorised construction.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that this PIL may be disposed of by directing Collector, Pune to consider the petitioners' grievance as reflected in the said representation dated 21/02/2011 - Exhibit 'X'.

Having regard to the aforesaid limited prayer, without commenting upon the merits of the matter, we are inclined to dispose of this Petition by directing the Collector, Pune to look into the said representation and take appropriate action on it in accordance with law. The petitioners to make additional representation with supporting documents before the Collector, Pune within 3 weeks. The Collector, Pune to take decision as aforesaid within 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Petition is disposed of. Parties to act upon authenticated copy of this order.
