This petition is filed for simplicitor direction to Respondent No.2Scrutiny Committee to decide the claim of the Petitioner expeditiously. We decline to issue such a writ of Mandamus as no data is placed before us regarding the pendency of the matters before the Scrutiny Committee. The Petitioner states he is a student. There would be cases of similarly situated students who are waiting for their claims to be decided. Without reference to this data, such an order would be prejudicial to those who are waiting.

We leave it open to the Petitioner to apply to Respondent No.2Scrutiny Committee for an early hearing of his caste claim. If the Scrutiny Committee decides to take the matter out of turn, it will give reason for doing so.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
