The petitioner raised objection to the preparation of the final voter's list. The petitioner's specific objection is that many voters who were registered at other places find their names including in the final voter's list prepared for holding elections of Alandi Municipal Council. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the Collector, Pune has already issued instructions to the Election Officer to prepare list of voters by taking care that names from other constituency and places are 1/3

not repeated in the subject voter's list.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State Election Commission submits that on 10/10/2016, draft voter's list was published. The objection to the list was called for and were to be submitted between 10/10/2016 to 21/10/2016. The list of voters was finalised on 29/10/2016. Learned Counsel further submits that filing of the nomination started on 11/11/2016. The voting will take place on 14/12/2016.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State Election Commission submits that the petitioner failed to submit objection to the draft voter's list and that some other persons submitted objection to the electoral registration officer. 4.

Taking into consideration the status of election programme which is at an advanced stage and the fact that election process is already set in motion, we are not inclined to interfere at this stage.
