1] This is an application for modification of Condition No.(a) imposed upon the applicant while releasing him on bail by an Order dated 23rd February 2016. The said condition reads as under:

"(a) The applicant be released on bail in NDPS Special Case No.31/2014 on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.50,000/- with one or two solvent local sureties in the like amount."

2] The learned Counsel appearing for the applicant submitted that, though by an Order dated 23.2.2016 the applicant was directed to be released on bail on the aforesaid condition, however, the applicant could not comply with the same and he is still in jail. He submitted that the applicant may be released on cash bail for a stipulated period and during the said period he will comply with the aforesaid

3] In view thereof, the applicant is permitted to furnish cash bail of Rs.1 lakh for a period of six weeks from today and during the said period the applicant shall comply with all conditions imposed upon him by an Order dated 23.2.2017. 4] It is abundantly made clear that, if the applicant fails to comply with any of the conditions imposed upon him within the stipulated period, the indulgence shown by this Court will be withdrawn and the applicant will have to surrender before the Jail Authority on the expiry of 6 weeks. 5] All the concerned to act on authenticated copy of this Order.
