The petitioner's application for public information regarding the statements under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in C.R. No.119 of 2016 registered with Malabar Police Station was rejected by the first authority and the appellate authority. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Since the above C.R. is under investigation and chargesheet is not filed, the petitioner who is accused in the said C.R.No.119 of 2016 is not entitled for statement under Section 161 of Cr.P.C. We find no error in the impugned order. 4.

The Petition is devoid of any merit and is accordingly dismissed.
