The Writ Petition is of the year 2019. The FIR was lodged by the Petitioner with the Navghar Police Station for the offence punishable under Sections 376, 377, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code on 28.10.2017. The case of the petitioner is that on false promise of marriage the respondent No.2 had physical sexual relations with her. 2.

With the assistance of learned APP I have gone through the paper-book. The Writ Petition was filed in the year 2019. Considering the workload of the trial Courts, though I am not inclined to issue any directions to conduct the trial on day-to-day basis, I am inclined to observe that 1/2

PMB 10.wp.5795-19.doc if an application is made by the petitioner before the trial Court for expediting the trial, the trial Court may consider the same on its own merits having regard to the fact that the FIR is of the year 2017.
