6TH DECEMBER 2017 PC:- The only prayer made by the petitioner in the instant petition is for a direction against the respondent to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 7th April 2015, by affording the opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in regard to the illegal tax demand.
Mr. Marne, the learned counsel for respondent nos.1 and 2 - corporation states on instructions that the corporation is willing to decide the representation of the petitioner after granting an opportunity of hearing.
In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the corporation, the grievance of the petitioner should stand redressed. Hence, we dispose of the writ petition by accepting the statements made on behalf of the corporation that would be 1/2
24-WP-2397-2016.DOC binding on the corporation. The corporation should decide the representation as early as possible and positively within four months.
Order accordingly. No orders as to costs.
