Learned Counsel appearing for petitioner submits that the respondent committed contempt in not complying with the order passed by Division Bench of this Court (Coram: Ranjit More & Smt. Anuja Prabhudessai, JJ) on 25th March, 2015.

Learned APP submits that consequent to the direction issued by this Court, the DCP, Zone-9 looked into the matter and directed ACP to
2/2 904cp45.16.sxw conduct the enquiry. In enquiry it was found that Assistant Police Inspector Sudhakar Kore had held hand of the accused which was an objectionable behaviour.

The DCP, Zone-9 by office order dated 23rd April, 2015 awarded punishment of reprimand. Both these orders are shown to us. Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that more severe punishment ought to have been awarded by the DCP. The petitioner has annexed copy of communication made by ACP, Santacuz, Mumbai dated 20th May, 2015 addressed to the petitioner wherein it has been informed to the petitioner that the API Sudhakar Kore has been punished by reprimanding him. By an order dated 25th March, 2015 criminal writ petition no.927/15 was disposed of directing DCP to look into the grievances and take appropriate decision. The decision has been taken. Contempt Petition stands disposed of.
