1] The Apex Court in the case of Sakiri Vasu Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh reported in (2008) 2 S.C.C. 409 has held that if the concerned police station does not register an FIR, aggrieved person can make a complaint to the Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner of Police. Even thereafter no cognisance is taken, remedy is available to make a complaint under section 200 or 156(3) of Cr.P.C.
