This application is filed under Section 24 of Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) for transfer of Matrimonial Petition No.A286 of 2013, pending in the Family court at Thane, to the court of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Mahad.

The applicant wife claims that it is not convenient for her to travel the distance from Mahad to Thane to attend to the court proceedings. The other contention of the applicant is that avk 1/2

17-MCA-3-2014 since the respondent has to attend to the proceedings filed for maintenance by her at Mahad, it would be convenient if the Matrimonial petition is transferred to the same place. Mere personal inconvenience cannot be a ground for transfer of court proceedings. The territorial jurisdictions set up under the procedural law can be disturbed only for some compelling circumstances. In the absence of such circumstances, in my opinion, there is no case made out for transfer of the application. Hence, the application is dismissed. (Smt.R.P.SondurBaldota, J.) avk 2/2
