Prisoner has requested for expeditious disposal of remaining matters against him. Chart submitted by him shows several matters pending against him under sections 392, 395 read with 34, 411, 412 and 379 of IPC.

In chart there are total 49 such matters mentioned. Most of the matters are from jurisdiction of Sessions Court, Pune Only one matter appears to be in jurisdiction of JMFC, Ahmednagar. 3.

Letter states that he has been acquitted in 22 matters, in 10 cases report under section 169 was submitted in his favour and in 9 matters he is on bail. In 8 cases when trial was going on, recording of evidence has been stopped and the Court has informed him that MCOC Act has been applied in his matter.

Prisoner has not given the case number of the matter in which he was so informed or then the date on which he was informed about it. 5.

Learned APP submits that the prisoner should be given legal aid in the present matter so as to enable him to effectively state his grievance.

Accordingly, we direct the Superintendent of Yerwada Central prison to extend to him necessary legal assistance within a period of 4 weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7.

With this direction, we dispose of the present proceeding. 8.
