Prisoner in jail seeks parole. His application was rejected by that competent authority on 11/1/2018 and by the Appellate authority on 19/1/2018.

We find that certificate issued by the medical practitioner about illness of his wife is dated 8/7/2017. 3.

Thus, on the basis of certificate which is more than 2 1⁄2 years old, request for parole cannot be considered now. Hence, with liberty to the prisoner to move application afresh if the cause still subsists, we dispose of the present proceeding. (N. R. BORKAR, J.) (ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE)
