The only substantive prayer in this petition is for issuing a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent - Collector to hear the pending appeal of the year 2017 under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.

Even going by the averments made in the petition, admittedly, the petitioner did not move the appellate authority for expediting or giving out of turn priority to the hearing of the pending appeal.

We, therefore, dispose of the petition by granting liberty to the petitioner to make appropriate application before the appellate authority which shall be decided in accordance with law. (M.S. SONAK, J.) (A.S.OKA, J.)
