On 27th June 2023, the following order was passed : "1.
After the matter is briefly heard, learned Counsel for the Respondents suggests that a mediator be appointed in the matter. Mr.Raman, learned Counsel for the Writ Petitioner, submits that his client has no objection to mediation, however, the Respondents should not refer to the sale transaction.

Be that as it may, let the parties/respective counsel try and work out a settlement / name the mediator by the next date.
3.
List on 11th July 2023.

It is made clear that if no progress is made, observing that the pleadings are complete, the Petition would be heard finally."

Today, when the matter is called out, both the learned Counsel submit that mediation cannot take place.

However, both the Counsel state that the matter before the Competent Authority is at an advanced stage of evidence, viz., crossexamination of Petitioner, who is the Applicant before the Competent Authority. They also submit that the Petition can be worked out if time bound instructions are given to the Competent Authority to conclude the trial and pronounce its verdict.

Accordingly, the Competent Authority is directed to conclude the trial and pronounce its judgment within a period of six months from the date of this order. Parties to co-operate in the matter and not take unnecessary adjournments.

Petition, accordingly, stands disposed.
