This is an application for Anticipatory Bail in connection with C.R.No.229 of 2019, registered with Vaduj Police Station, DistrictSatara, for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 148, 188, 323, 352, 353 and 504 of Indian Penal Code and under Sections 11(1)(i) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960 as well as Sections 37(1), 37(3), 119 and 135 of Maharashtra Police Act. 2.
The prosecution case is that the information was received by the police that some persons in the Vaduj, Taluka-Khatav, DistrictSatara are conducting Bullock-cart race. The raiding party visited the place. They noticed that bullock cart race was in progress. After noticing that the police have arrived, one of the accused told other
2 917.ABA-2586-2019. persons to run away from the place of incident. He also obstructed the policemen while discharging duty. It is learnt that the applicant was one of the person who organized the Bullock-cart race. Admittedly, the Applicant was not present at the place of incident. The obstruction in discharge of duty was allegedly done by the other accused. It is contended that except Section 353 all offences are bailable in nature.

Learned APP submitted that cellphone of the applicant is required to be recovered for the purpose of investigation. The applicant was granted interim protection by order dated 26th November 2019, with directions to attend the investigating officer. The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that he has complied with the directions.

In the light of the aforesaid circumstances, interim protection granted by this Court can be confirmed.
ORDER
(i) The Anticipatory Bail Application No. 2586 of 2019 is allowed; (ii) In the event of the arrest of the Applicant in connection with C.R.No. 229 of 2019 registered with Vaduj Police Station, DistrictSatara, the Applicant be released on bail on his executing P.R bond
3 917.ABA-2586-2019. in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount;
(iii) Applicant shall report to the investigating officer on 18th, 19th, and 20th of December 2019 between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Applicant shall cooperate with the investigation. (iv) The Anticipatory Bail Application No.2586 of 2019 stands disposed of.
