By this petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has impugned the order passed by the learned Additional Commissioner, Nashik Region, Nashik rejecting the application filed for condonation of delay of two days in filing an appeal under section 16 of the Maharashtra Grampanchayat Act, 1958. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner could not point out any provision for condonation of delay in filing an appeal vested in the Appellate Authority under section 16 of the said Act. 3.

I am thus not inclined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the Additional Commissioner, Nashik Region, Nashik dated 14th December,2016 rejecting the appeal on the ground of delay. 4.

Writ petition is devoid of merit and is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
