The Petitioner has challenged the order dated 17 October 2023 passed by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine in respect of establishment of new Ayurveda Medical College, for the academic year 2023-24. The Petitioner has filed an appeal as provided under the Rules/Regulations governing this exercise, however, no order has been passed upon the same.

R.V.Patil 2 13 WP.13921.2023.doc The learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner faces deadline of 20 November 2023. Considering the fact that there is a substantive appeal, where all factual aspects would be considered, is filed and already pending, we are not inclined to examine the issue at this stage. However, the request of the Petitioner that the appeals should be at least decided early is reasonable. Since an order is passed on 17 October 2023 and only one month remains for cut-off date and the Authorities themselves have provided for appeals, it is but necessary that such appeals must be decided early if the facility of appeal is not to be made redundant. Therefore, we dispose of the Petition directing that the appeals of the Petitioner be decided within a period of ten days and outcome be informed to the Petitioner.
