1] The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation on instructions of Shri Tushar Daundkar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Sky Signs, PMC, states that if the petitioner files an application for grant of permission under section 244 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act 1949, it will be accepted and will be decided within a period of 45 days from the date of filing of the application. 2] The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on instructions states that the petitioner will file such application with the Sky Signs Department of the respondent Corporation within a period of one week from today. We accept the said statement. Needless to add that the petitioner will have to make an application in prescribed format along with requisite documents.

SKC 8-wp-13167-2017.doc 3] In view of the aforesaid statements, we dispose of the petition by passing the following order :

(A) We direct that the application for grant of permission under section 244 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 shall be accepted by Sky Signs Department of the respondent Corporation if made by the petitioner;

(B) The application shall be decided as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of 45 days from the date on which the application is made;

(C) The decision taken on the application be forthwith communicated to the petitioner;

(D) The petition is disposed of in above terms;
