927-CRPILST.50.2017.doc Those are also on the record, namely, in the investigation papers. Now, the police machinery, according to the learned APP, will take the requisite steps and in accordance with law. 2.
We have no doubt that the investigating officer will take due note of these papers/documents supplied by the petitioner and thereafter proceed in accordance with law. In the event the competent criminal court is not satisfied with the investigations carried out, it has all the powers in law to direct a investigation in accordance with the provisions contained particularly in section 173 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973. Once these safeguards are available in law, then, we do not see any reason for keeping the public interest litigation pending. It is disposed of. (SMT. BHARATI H. DANGRE, J.) (S.C.DHARMADHIKARI, J.)
