This is an application received through jail. By this application, the applicant has prayed that his bail amount of Rs.50,000/- may be reduced in the interest of justice.

The record discloses that the applicant was ordered to be released on bail vide order dated 30.5.2014 by the Trial Court by directing him to furnish bail amount of Rs.1 lac. That the applicant moved an application for reduction of the bail amount. That the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, 47th Court, Esplaned by its order dated 5.9.2014 was pleased to reduce the said amount to Rs.50,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount. The applicant has sent the present

2/3 application dated 22.11.2014 through jail which is received by the Registry on 27.1.2015 for reduction of the said amount. As per record annexed to the present application, the applicant was ordered to be released on bail by order dated 30.5.2014, however, till date the applicant could not avail the said facility as according to him the bail amount of Rs.50,000/- is onerous.

Taking into consideration the fact that the applicant was directed to be released on bail by an order dated 30.5.2014 by the Trial Court and till date he could not avail the said facility, In the interest of justice the amount of bail imposed by the Trial Court i.e. Rs.50,000/- is hereby reduced to Rs.20,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount. The rest of the conditions imposed upon the applicant by the Trail Court are not disturbed.

The application is allowed in the aforesaid terms. As per record, the applicant is lodged at Thane Central Prison. The Registry is hereby directed to communicate this order to the applicant. (A.S. GADKARI,J.)
