By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent No.1 - The Superintendent, Regional Passport Office, Chaitanya Jadhav 1/3

Mumbai, to renew her passport bearing No. J-1681444, for a period of ten years.

Perused the application. It appears that there are two cases registered as against the petitioner, (i) C.R. No. I-202 of 2012, dated 27th October, 2012, registered with the Kalyan Taluka Police Station, Thane. (The Court Case No. being R.C.C. No. 793 of 2013, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, 4th Court, Kalyan, Thane) and (ii) C.R. No. II-8 of 2013, registered with the Kalyan Taluka Police Station, Thane. (The said case is pending before the learned Sessions Judge at Kalyan, bearing Sessions Case No. 130 of 2013).

It appears that the validity of the petitioner's passport expired on 28th July, 2020 and as such, the petitioner has applied for renewal of her passport, bearing No. J-1681444. 5.

Considering the aforesaid, we deem it appropriate to issue a direction to the Passport Authority, to renew the petitioner's passport Chaitanya Jadhav 2/3

bearing No. J-1681444, for a period of ten years, in accordance with the Passports Act and the Rules, thereunder.

Needless to state that, in the event the petitioner intends to travel abroad, she will seek permission from the appropriate Court, before leaving the Country.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in above terms. 8.
