In pursuance to the advertisement issued by the Director of the Staff Selection Commission for the post of Sub Inspector, the Petitioner had submitted online application in the Regional Office of Staff Selection Commission at Chandigarh. On declaration of P.S.T. Result dated 27th October, 2017 (Exhibit "F"), the Petitioner was declared as "not qualified" in the Physical Standard. Feeling aggrieved, the Petitioner has filed this Petition. 2.

The learned counsel for the Respondents at the outset has raised preliminary objection about the territorial jurisdiction of this Court to entertain this Writ Petition. He referred Clause 18 of the Notice for Recruitment which reads thus.

"Any dispute in regard to this recruitment will be subject to Courts/ Tribunals having jurisdiction over the place of concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the SSC where the candidate has submitted his/her application." 3.

It is not in dispute that the application for recruitment has been submitted by the Petitioner Online in the office of Regional Office of Staff Selection Commission at Chandigarh. In the circumstances, when the application has been submitted though Online in the Regional Office of Staff Selection Commission at Chandigarh, in our considered view the submission made by the learned counsel for the Respondents in regard to the territorial jurisdiction deserves to be accepted.

In the circumstances, we dismiss this Petition for want of territorial jurisdiction.

Needless to say that we have not examined the merits of the matter.
