-------------------- Adv. S. A. Shaikh i/b Jigar Agarwal for the Petitioner. Mr. Priyanshu S. Mishra i/b Rajesh Jain for the Respondent. --------------------- CORAM : SHARMILA U DESHMUKH, J.

Heard.
2.
The Petition seeks expeditious hearing of the Petition of the year 2017 pending before the Family Court at Bandra. 3.
There is no reason demonstrated to this Court for seeking out of turn priority for adjudication of the Petition while other litigants are waiting patiently. There are number of Petitions of previous years pending in the Family Court and as I have observed in my earlier order, the Judges of the Family Court dealing with about 70 to 80 Petitions which are listed on their boards.
4.
There is no better reason put forward by the Petitioner other than
24-WP-292-2023.doc that he is awaiting the outcome of the Petition of the year 2017. The Petition does not contain any statistical data about the number of filing in the family Court as also the number of Petitions of earlier years pending for adjudication. Merely, because the present litigant can afford to come to this Court cannot be a reason to expedite hearing of the Petition without giving any thought to the plight of other litigants who are patiently waiting for their Petitions to be heard. 5.
In view of the above, in the absence of any special circumstance demonstrated, I am not inclined to grant any relief. The Petition is dismissed with cost of Rs. 25,000/- to be paid to the District Legal Services Authority Mumbai Suburban.
