DATE : 3 MARCH 2020 P.C.:- The Petitioner has challenged the order dated 1 March 2008 passed by the Collector, Ratnagiri. The Petitioner was working in the office of Collector, Ratnagiri against the vacancy reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidate. Caste certificate of the Petitioner was submitted for verification and the Scrutiny Committee invalidated the caste certificate by order dated 12 August 2015. Thereafter, the Respondent-Collector by the impugned order has terminated the services of the Petitioner. The Petitioner has made prayer to reinstate the Petitioner and grant protection of service in view of the law laid down by the Full

This prayer cannot be granted in view of the subsequent decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Chairman and Managing Director Food Corporation of India and Ors. Vs. Jagdish Balaram Bahira and Ors.2 wherein the decision of the Full Bench in case of Arun Sonone has been overruled. 3.
