7. WP 16114.23-Corrected.doc Director, Education dated 4 August 2022. According to the Petitioner, these reports/proposals are favourable to the Petitioner. The learned AGP states that the copy of the Petition is not served. 3.

Going by the documents that are placed on record it appears that the proposal for grant-in-aid to the Petitioner is not yet finally decided. That being the position, we dispose of the Writ Petition observing that the State of Maharashtra through its Secretary, Sports and Education Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai would take an appropriate decision as to whether the Petitioner is entitled to the grant-in, within a reasonable time preferably within a period of eight weeks, subject to clerical and such other procedural compliances that are necessary and subject to other urgent time bound commitments.

4.

By this observation we are not deemed to have opined as to whether the Petitioner is entitled to grant-in-aid or not, which decision the Director will have to take.
